Return & Refund Policy
PowerLung is a personal use respiratory training device proven in independent studies to be effective when used as instructed. Each PowerLung product is sealed for health and safety reasons using tamper-evident packaging.
Return Window Products purchased directly from PowerLung, Inc. may be returned for a refund within 14 days of the date of receipt. Returns require prior authorization from PowerLung, Inc. before any product is sent back. To request a return authorization, complete the Return Request Form at [RETURN FORM LINK]. You will be required to upload photographs clearly showing the tamper-evident seal and product condition at the time of your request. Incomplete submissions will not be processed until all required information is received.
Condition Required for Return Eligibility To be eligible for a return, the following packaging integrity requirements must be met:
- The tamper-evident seal securing the resealable plastic bag must be unbroken and intact. This seal covers the reclosable opening of the bag and, once broken, cannot be verified as unused for health and safety reasons.
- All original contents must be present, including instructions and accessories
- The outer pillbox or carton may be opened to inspect the model received without affecting return eligibility
- Proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation) must accompany the return
Why this matters: PowerLung products are personal respiratory training devices that make direct contact with the mouth and airway. Once the tamper-evident seal is broken, the product cannot be verified as unused and cannot be resold or reused for health and safety reasons. This policy exists to protect all customers.
Returns are thoroughly inspected for tamper-evident seal integrity and signs of use before a refund is authorized. PowerLung reserves the right to deny a refund if the item does not meet these conditions.
Rejected Returns If a return is rejected because the item does not meet the eligibility requirements stated above, PowerLung will notify you by email with the reason for rejection. The item will be held for 14 days pending your instructions for return shipment at your expense. If no instructions are received within 14 days, PowerLung reserves the right to dispose of the item. For EU customers who believe their statutory rights have not been honored, you may submit a complaint via the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Non-Returnable Items The following items cannot be returned under any circumstances:
- PowerLung units, Resistance Cell Sets, or Replacement Mouthpieces with broken tamper-evident seals
- Sale items
- Gift cards
Restocking Fee All approved returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee, which will be deducted from your refund amount.
Shipping Charges Original shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. PowerLung can provide a prepaid return shipping label upon request; the cost of the label will be invoiced to the customer separately. CODs are not accepted on returned items.
Refunds Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval status. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days of approval. Please allow additional time for your bank or credit card company to post the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund was approved, contact us at pl.connects@powerlung.com.
Exchanges The fastest way to get the item you want is to return the eligible item following the process above, and once the return is accepted, place a new separate order for the replacement item.
European Union — 14-Day Statutory Cooling-Off Period If your order is shipped to a European Union country, you have the statutory right to cancel or return your order within 14 days of receipt for any reason and without justification, in accordance with EU consumer protection law. This right aligns with PowerLung's standard 14-day return window.
Please note: The 15% restocking fee does not apply to returns made under the EU statutory cooling-off period for items with intact tamper-evident seals. However, return shipping costs remain the buyer's responsibility. If the tamper-evident seal has been broken, PowerLung reserves the right to deduct an amount reflecting the diminished value of the product, or to reject the return on health and safety grounds, as the product cannot be verified as unused or resold safely.
B2B and Authorized Retailer Purchases PowerLung does not accept returns for products purchased through an authorized B2B account or authorized retailer. Please contact your place of purchase directly for their applicable return policy.
Damages and Issues Please inspect your order upon receipt. If your item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact us immediately at pl.connects@powerlung.com so we can evaluate and resolve the issue. For shipping damage specifically, please refer to our Shipping Policy.
After the Return Window — Warranty If you experience a product defect or workmanship issue after the return window has closed, PowerLung offers a Limited Warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. After the Return Window — Repair Service For issues not covered by the Limited Warranty, PowerLung offers a Repair Service to extend the life of your device.
